Reserves win again on their travels

Holywell Town Reserves win again to make it three out of three!

The Reserves travelled to Hope to face Castell Alun Colts and came home with all three points after a 6-2 victory.

Played in constant rain, the match started badly for the Wellmen as they conceded after 9 minutes, but Jay Wilkes (pictured) equalised 5 minutes or so later. The home side took the lead again on 21 minutes and the score remained 2-1 at half time.

The Reserves came out after the break and took over the game. Jay Wilkes again equalised for the Wellmen then the lads fast attacking football saw the them take the game to Castell Alun. Nathan Williams gave the Wellmen the lead on 70 minutes, then Alex Roberts scored with a header to make it 4-2 on 75 minutes.

Substitute Lewis Reed made it 5-2 with an excellent finish on 78 minutes before Nathan Williams completed the scoring with his second on 87 minutes to cap an excellent 2nd half for the Wellmen.

The lads next face Ruthin Town Reserves at Halkyn Road on Thursday night with a 7.00pm kick off.
