Reserves through to next round of the League Cup

The Reserves are through to the next round of the League Cup after a resounding 8-0 victory over Johnstown Youth Reserves.

The match started well for the Wellmen and went a goal up with around 5 minutes on the clock through Aidy Roxburgh, who slotted past the on coming keeper. Ten minutes later, the Wellmen won a penalty after Nathan Williams was felled in the penalty box. Up stepped Ryan Edge who converted the penalty to double the Wellmen's lead. Josh Robertson then increased Town's lead, rounding the keeper and slotted the ball home.

A couple of minutes in to the second half, Town increased their lead further through Ryan Edge who scores his second of the game. Shortly afterwards, Josh Robertson scored his second of the game through a free kick then substitute Mike Guest grabbed Town's 6th goal of the game.

Town then went further ahead when Ryan Edge got his 3rd goal of the game before Ryan Jones rounded off the scoring securing the Wellmen a great 8-0 victory and progression into the next round of the Reserves & Colts League Cup.
