The Reserves fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at Mynydd Isa Spartans.

Eddie Barry's side travelled to Mynydd Isa looking for 3 points to reduce the gap at the top of the league behind leaders Penycae.

The Reserves task was made even harder after the referee sent off striker Josh Robertson early in the game. Despite being down to 10 men, the Reserves took the lead midway through the first half, Dillon Garner on hand to head home at the far post.

After the break, the home side were also reduced to 10 men after one of their players had fouled Jack Gibbons. The home side shortly afterwards equalised from the penalty spot, Lewis Marshall very harshly was adjudged to have handled the ball. In the final 10 minutes of the game, the home side took the lead to claim the points.

The Wellmen must dust themselves down and forget about tonight's result and return to winning ways on Saturday with a trip to Brymbo Reserves.
