Reserves fire 9 past Llangollen Town

Holywell Town Reserves remain top after a 9-1 victory over Llangollen Town Reserves.

The game started brilliantly for the Wellmen who found themselves ahead after only 4 minutes when Owen Davies' shot found the back of the net. 10 minutes later, it was 2-0 as Ryan Edge dispossess' the Llangollen defender of the ball and fires past the keeper. A couple if minutes passed before Town grabbed their 3rd goal as Mike Guest's shot from outside of the area finds the back of the net.

Two further goals before the break gave Town a convincing lead at the break, with Nathan Williams getting Town's 4th before Ryan Edge grabbed his second of the game with around 10 minutes of the half remaining.

With the lads firmly in control of the game, the Wellmen added a 6th goal 10 minutes into the second half as Ryan Edge completed his hat trick with a tap in at the far post. Nathan Williams then grabbed his second of the game shortly afterwards before Edge got his 4th and Town's 8th midway through the half.

The home side pulled a goal back from a free kick on the edge of the box before Town rounded off the scoring in the latter part of the game when Nathan WIllams got his hat trick for the afternoon from the penalty spot after Ryan Edge had been fouled.

It was another convincing win for the Reserves and extended their lead at the top of the WNL Reserves and Colts League.
