The Reserves faced Johnstown Youth at Halkyn Road and ran out 11-1 winners.

The Wellmen were looking to put Saturday's disappointment of losing the first game of the season behind them and took the lead midway through the first half when Owen Davies headed home from Jack Pennington's corner. A few minutes later, it was 2-0 as Pennington (pictured) got himself on the scoresheet with a well taken goal. The third came from Josh Robertson, who pounced on an error by the Johnstown keeper to slot the ball home to give the Wellmen a 3 goal advantage at the half time break.

The second half started brilliantly for the Wellmen who scored their 4th goal of the evening through Kyle Wilkes. Pennington then grabbed his second of the game before Ryan Jones beat his marker to fire past the keeper to make it 6-0 to the Wellmen.

Substitute Jay Wilkes then grabbed Town's 7th before the visitors pulled one back. Town's 8th goal came from Jake Cooke before Jay Wilkes grabbed his second of the game to make it 9-1. Kyle WIkes got Town's 10th with a few minutes remaining before Jay Wilkes completed his hattrick in the dying minutes to round off a great night for the Reserves.

The Reserves are on their travels on Saturday as they make the journey to Overton on Saturday looking to build on tonights excellent win.

Well done lads.......
