The first team travelled to Colliers Park in Wrexham on Wednesday night to face Wrexham Youth and ran out 5-2 winners.
Town raced to a 3-0 lead at the break courtesy of 2 early goals by Luke Tyson (Pictured) and Dafydd Griffith added a 3rd just before the break.
Joe Williams pulled one back early in the second half for Wrexham but Town scored again a few minutes later with a Matty Harvey header to restore the 3 goal cushion. Phil Lloyd added a 5th for Town on 77 minutes with a delightful chip over the Wrexham keeper after a great ball in by Tom McElmeel and Wrexham added a consolation with a couple of minutes remaining as Jack Davies found the back of the net.
It was another great run out for the Wellmen and Town continue their pre-season preparation on Saturday as they welcome Corwen to Halkyn Road. (Kick off 2.30pm)
Tuesday night saw Holywell Town Reserves host FC Nomads Reserves at Halkyn Road. Unfortunately for Town, Nomads won by 3 goals to 2 with Jordan Taylor and Connor Hughes getting Town's goals.
Again it was a great workout for the lads and they will be looking to get back to winning ways in their next pre-season friendly as they welcome New Brighton Villa to Halkyn Road a week Tuesday.
