Holywell Town welcomed Holyhead Hotspur to Halkyn Road and shared the points after a 1-1 draw.

We need to be more clinical in final third but I'm sure it won't be long before everything starts going in
- John Haseldin - Manager

With the match passing an early pitch inspection, The Wellmen were looking to get back to winning ways against the Harbourmen and were dealt a cruel blow as early as the 7th minute when an over hit backpass by Matty Harvey sailed over John Rushton and dropped into the net the give the visitors the lead.

Despite the Wellmen enjoying the majority of the possession, both teams had chances to score but it was still 1-0 to the visitors at the break. The second half was the same with Town having the majority of the possession, but we couldn't convert that into goals but on 75 minutes, the Wellmen were given a penalty for a push on Phil Lloyd in the box and up stepped Wayne Edwards, on his return to the Club, to fire the spot kick into the back of the net to equalise for the Wellmen.

Town looked for a late winner but it wasn't to be and the points were shared.

After the game, Manager John Haseldin said, "It was a good performance overall. We were disappointed not to have won the game as I don't think they have had a shot and felt their goal was a freak accident. We need to be more clinical in final third but I'm sure it won't be long before everything starts going in and team starts to click again."

The Wellmen next travel to Gresford Athletic on Saturday with kick off at 2.00pm.

A young Reserves side travelled to Gresford Athletic this afternoon but came home empty handed after a 8-2 defeat. Sam Edwards amongst the goals with a 25 yard screamer. Manager Eddie Barry was full of praise for the youngsters, where 7 of the 13 players available were aged 16 or 17, for their effort today as every one of them gave 100% and never deserved to lose by 6 goals.
