Holywell Town drew 1-1 against Mid Wales outfit Caersws at Halkyn Road on Saturday.

Both sides had chances in the first half to break the deadlock but no goals were scored until the final 5 minutes of the half when the visitors took the lead through Captain Mark Griffiths

Town looked to get back on level terms early in the second half, with Paul Williams and Steve Thomas going close for the Wellmen, but it wasn't until the 80th minute that Town got a deserved equaliser when Graeme Williams found himself alone in the box to fire past goalkeeper Callum Hawthorn after a great ball in by Paul Williams.

Town nearly snatched a late winner but Steve Thomas' effort hit the woodwork.

The Reserves were in League Cup action and travelled to Chirk AAA's and were knocked out of the competition after a 8-1 defeat, with Owen Davies' last minute consolation goal the only bright thing to come out of the game.

Next week see's the first team travel to Denbigh Town whilst the Reserves welcome Castell AC to Halkyn Road on Friday evening.
