The Wellmen’s preparation for the new season continues on Saturday as Maghull make the journey over from Merseyside to Halkyn Road.

John Haseldin’s side have had a great pre-season so far, losing just the once away to Blacon Youth, and that form continued on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers Academy side. Goals from Matty Harvey and Shaun Tuck gave the Wellmen the victory infront of a good crowd, with Tuck’s goal being the highlight where a curling shot ended in the roof of the net from 30 yards which left the keeper stranded.

Saturday’s game see’s John Haseldin having a near full strength side, with the only absentees being Gareth Sudlow (Holiday), Danny Desormeaux (holiday) and Matty Kendrick (Knee). Shaun Tuck will also once again be looking to get on the scoresheet, to keep his goal a game ratio going.

Maghull play in the West Cheshire League Division 1 and will prove good opposition for the Wellmen with the League Campagin only a week away. Magull were West Cheshire League champions in 2013/14, after being runners up back in 2010/11.

The game kicks off at 2.30pm at Halkyn Road, and for any supporters travelling over from Magull, the postcode for Halkyn Road is CH8 7TZ.

Good luck lads…….let's finish the pre-season campaign with another win!
