Holywell Town have made it to the Mawddach Cup Final after beating Kinmel Bay 3-1 at Halkyn Road.

The Wellmen had a great start when Stuart Hayes opened the scoring on 8 minutes and despite a few more chances, Town didn't double their lead until a few minutes before the break.

Stuart Hayes broke clear and was tripped from behind as he ran in on goal by James Hay and the referee had no alternative but to show him the red card.

From the resulting penalty, Sam Jones smashed the ball home past Matty Harrison to give Town a 2 goal advantage at the break.

The second half saw Phil Lloyd hit the post before Kinmel Bay pulled one back with around 20 minutes to go through Andreas Alvarado. Steve Thomas made sure of the victory in the dying minutes when he bravely headed home from a Phil Lloyd cross, despite a clash of heads with the Kinmel Bay centre back.

The win means Town are in the final which will be played on Saturday 9th May at Bangor FC.

Great win lads and another final!!
