It was a good start to the pre season fixtures last night as the reserves ran out 6-1 winners against Llanrwst Utd
It was exactly what was needed, giving a large squad plenty of time on the pitch and a chance to regain match fitness ahead of the new season. The team played some good football throughout and there were some good individual performances aswell
Goals were scored by Connor Hughes who got 2, 1 in each half. The first of which being an early contender for goal of the season. Picking the ball up in his own half, Connor then beat several defenders before firing into the top corner from an angle inside the box. Josh Roberts also scored 2 capping off a good all round performance. New signing Josh Maldon got himself on the scoresheet with a fine finish after some good build up play and Danny Sim rounded off the scoring with a close range header
I would like to thank Craig and his players at Llanrwst for stepping in at such short notice to play the match after our scheduled friendly was cancelled by the opposition and wish them all the best for the new season
Our next reserve fixture will be next Tuesday 28th July at home versus Lex, Kick off 7pm at Hlakyn Road
