Holywell Town's Under 6's and Under 7's enjoyed their first matchday experience in Saturday's game against Llandudno Junction.

What a great day for the young lads to see and aspire to be one of the lads on the pitch and playing for their home town club
- U6's Coach Jordan Hadaway

The Junior sides were invited to the game by their coaches for them to experience a 1st team game and to feel a part of the team with them being mascots.

When they arrived at the ground, they were welcomed by club officials before having a tour of the ground, which saw the lads walk around the pitch to see the ground from all angles, a look at the hospitality and media room before stopping off at Holywell Town's dressing room and to have a picture taken sat on the benches for them to experience what it would be like before a game.

After this, they sides lines up near the dressing room and escoted the players onto the pitch ahead of kick off, before getting a photo on the halfway line with the players.

Club mascot Cecil the Crocodile even turned up to entertain the players and the lads enjoyed having their picture taken with Cecil before he took them to their part of the stand to watch the match.

Under 6's coach Jordan Hadaway added, "What a great day for the young lads to see and aspire to be one of the lads on the pitch and playing for their home town club. I would like to thank all the parents and coaches for making this happen and good luck to both sides for the rest of the season."

The Juniors enjoyed their first matchday experience and they sang and cheered when Holywell Town scored, and despite the disappointment of the match being abandoned with 20 minutes on the clock, a good time was had by all.

The club would like to thank the boys for being impeccably behaved and hope to see them all again soon cheering on the senior side.
