Holywell Town were crowned Welsh Alliance League Champions this evening after beating Llanrwst 3-0 at Gwydir Park.

Sam Jones gave Town the lead after 10 minutes, as his shot as goalkeeper Paul Roberts got a touch to it but it had too much power and crossed the goal line despite a last ditch effor tby the defender to clear the ball.

Jones put Town further ahead around the 35 minute mark, as he fired in from the penalty spot after Paul Williams had been brought down in the box. After the break, Jones scored his hat trick on 55 minutes as he broke clear and rounded the keeper, before slotting home despite the challenge by the Llanrwst defender.

Town had further chances to increase their lead but found keeper Paul Roberts in fine form and as there was no further goals, Town had done enough and at the final whistle, scenes of celebration was had by all on the pitch as the lads celebrated with champagne after being crowned champions!

It was a great night for all involved with the club and also to the large amount of supporters who made the trip to Llanrwst to cheer the lads on......all eyes now turn to Saturday's FAW Trophy final at Llandudno.
