Holywell Town suffered a 6-0 defeat at League Leaders Prestatyn Town

"Didn't deserve that score line at all today, gutted! Need to pick ourselves up and go again next week"
- Sam Jones

The Wellmen were the better of both teams during the first half and could have been
ahead after creating a couple of chances. With around 10 minutes played, the Wellmen won a penalty after the Prestatyn goalkeeper brought down Shaun Tuck and Tuck picked himself up to take the spot kick. Tuck watched as the keeper saved his penalty kick and the score remained 0-0 up until injury time of the first half then Prestatyn took the lead through Jack Lewis who headed home.

Disaster struck for the Wellmen on the hour mark as Shaun Tuck was shown a red card by the referee and almost instantly Prestatyn doubled their lead. 5 minutes later it was 3-0 as Jack Kenny got himself on the score sheet. On 69 minutes, Jordan Davies made it 4-0 with a looping header then as we entered the final 10 minutes, Prestatyn made it 5-0 through James Stead then to round off a miserable afternoon for the Wellmen, Alec Williams made it 6-0 for the home side.

Town will feel hard done by after matching the League Leaders for an hour and the sending off was the turning point, and we must now pick our selves up and get a victory next Saturday at home to Holyhead Hotspur.
