During his playing days, Boulton's previous clubs included Bangor City, Connah's Quay Nomads, Conwy United and Mynydd Isa as well as a couple of spells with the Wellmen and he has plenty of Cymru Alliance and Welsh Premier experience and will be a great asset to the side.

Manager John Haseldin added, "I'm delighted Chris has agreed to come in as Assistant Manager, I've known him a long time I feel we share similar views on football and how things should be done.

He's a popular figure in the local area who knows what the club is all about having played here in the past. He has a great knowledge of local football also knows many of the lads already so won't take him long to settle in and I'm looking forward to working with him closely for the new season.

Over the past few years, Boulton has been instrumental in the success of Flintshire County School Boys and has help steer them to numerous trophies over the years.

We would like to welcome Chris back to Halkyn Road and look forward to seeing him in the dugout once the pre-season matches begin next month.
