The Reserves travelled to Wepre Park to face FC Nomads Reserves for their final League game of the campaign.

The young Wellmen returned pointless after a 6-2 defeat against the experienced FC Nomads side with the goalscorers being Jake Cooke and Wayne Edwards (pictured), who scored against his former side.

Manager Eddie Barry was full of praise for his side despite the defeat, in a line up which included 8 players under the age of 18. This was echoed by Ben Lewis who said after the game that there's a solid base of players in the Reserves who will be able to break into the first team next season and beyond.

First team Manager John Haseldin tweeted, "Not the result the lads wanted tonight but well done to Eddie, Ben, Roger and the boys, a very young squad which will only get better. Giving young lads their first chance in men's football is more important than results and I'm sure more will come into the first team in years to come."

The club say well done lads for all your effort and commitment over the season, and thanks to all involved behind the scenes for the Reserves.
