Both the 1st team and the Youth Team have a busy week of FAW Cup Matches over the next couple of weeks.

First up is the FAW Youth Cup 1st round match where our U19's side are pitched against FC Nomads. The Wellmen will be looking to progress into the 2nd round of the competition for the second successive season as Mark Presford's side head to Wepre Park to face FC Nomads on Sunday 1st October. The match kicks off at 10.30pm and the club will be grateful if you could pop along to Connah's Quay to cheer the lads on.

The next cup match of the week falls on Tuesday night (3rd October) as the 1st team make the journey to Welsh Premier League Side Newtown AFC in the 2nd round of the Nathaniel MG Cup. The kick off time has been moved to 8.00pm from the originally advertised time of 7.45pm.
John Haseldin's side will be looking to progress in the competition after knocking out Prestatyn Town, who are also in the Welsh Premier League, last month on penalties after a great match at Halkyn Road.

Then, to round off the week, the first team are in Welsh Cup action on Saturday 7th October as Corwen make the journey to Halkyn Road for the 1st round tie. The Wellmen have grown to love the competition over the past few seasons and again, the lads will be hoping for a good cup run this season. Corwen will be tough opposition for the lads having knocked out FC Nomads in the final qualifying round a couple of weeks ago to set up the first round encounter between the sides. The match kicks off at 2.30pm and we are hoping for a good turnout of supporters to cheer the lads on and hopefully into the hat for the 2nd round draw.
