Holywell Town travel to Barmouth & Dyffryn FC on Saturday in their first league game in nearly a month.

Holywell Town make the long trip to Barmouth & Dyffryn on Saturday and will be hoping to make amends for the opening day defeat to the hosts. Town dissapointingly lost 2-1 that day with Steve Thomas getting the Holywell goal.

Town are in a rich vein of form and go into the game full of confidence, especially after the recent cup wins. Barmouth currently sit 2nd in the table on 25 points, having played 12 games. Town are currently 4th on 19 points, but have played 3 games less than the Magpies.

Ian Griffiths, fresh from last weeks hat trick against Glan Conwy will once again be looking to be amongst the goals while Steve Thomas will be looking to keep his goal scoring form going by netting on Saturday.
Town recall Tom Carney and Dave McCully but will be without Barry Calder who has work commitments and Matty Roberts who is away on holiday.

Town will have to keep Barmouth striker Shane Jones quiet, who has scored 13 goals already this season, whi is likely to be partenred up front by Craig Papinyrk who has scored 4 goals in 6 apperances.

Here's directions to Barmouth's Wern Mynach ground for those of you who are driving down to the game.

Leave Holywell and head towards Mold, then follow signs for Ruthin. From Ruthin, follow signs for Bala (A494) and once driven through the town, stay on this road for 18 miles. At T junction on outskirts of Dolgellau, turn right (A470) then a few miles later, turn left signposted Barmouth (A496). Follow this road into the Town. When travelling on the A496 into Barmouth, either from the Harlech or Dolgellau route, turn right (from Harlech) or left (from Dolgellau) into Park Road by the Royal Hotel that is located in the centre of Town. Follow this single track road along, passing Bradbury's Garage, the Bowling Green (both located on the right side)and the Surgery (on the left) to its end when you will find the gates to the ground entrance.
Distance: 70 miles Time: 1hr 45mins

Barmouth & Dyffryn FC won the Welsh Alliance Programme of the year last season so hopefully this years effort will be just as good, if so, it is a great read and a recommended purchase!
